Indian Army TES 55 Recruitment 2025: The 10+2 Technical Entry Scheme (TES) is a route through which students having passed Class 12 (with Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics) can join the Indian Army directly as officers after selection.
The TES‑55 batch (January 2026) is the latest recruitment cycle announced in 2025. Under TES, there is no written exam — shortlisting is based on Class 12 PCM marks + JEE (Mains).

Indian Army TES 55 Recruitment 2025 Eligibility Criteria (TES‑55)

To apply for TES‑55, a candidate must satisfy the following:

  1. Educational Qualification

  • Must have passed 10+2 (or equivalent) with Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics (PCM).
  • Minimum 60% aggregate in PCM in class 12.
  • Must have appeared in JEE (Mains) 2025.




Age Limit

  • Between 16½ and 19½ years on the first day of the month in which the course starts.
  • That implies birth date limits as per rules (details will be in the official notification)

Indian Army TES 55 Recruitment 2025 Selection Process

The selection for TES‑55 will broadly have the following stages:

  1. Shortlisting
    Candidates will be short‑listed on the basis of class 12 PCM marks + JEE Mains performance.

  2. SSB Interview
    Shortlisted candidates will undergo a 5-day SSB (Service Selection Board) interview covering psychological tests, group tasks, personal interview, etc.
  3. Medical Examination
    Only those who pass the SSB will be sent for medical tests as per Army standards.
  4. Final Merit & Joining
    Based on SSB performance and medical fitness, final selection is declared and candidates join the training program.




Indian Army TES 55 Recruitment 2025 Pay, Benefits & Training

  • Starting pay for a Lieutenant is under Level 10 pay matrix (₹56,100 to ₹1,77,500) as per current norms.
  • Additional allowances: Military Service Pay (MSP), dearness allowance, HRA, transport, etc.
  • During training, cadets generally receive a stipend/salary as per rules.
  • After completion of training, officers receive Permanent Commission and serve in branches such as Engineers, Signals, EME, etc.
  • The course typically lasts 4 years, combining technical study and military training.

Indian Army TES 55 Recruitment 2025 How to Apply (Step by Step)

  1. Visit the official portal: joinindianarmy.nic.in
  2. Check notification PDF when published (October 2025) for detailed instructions.
  3. Register & fill application form with personal, educational and JEE details.
  4. Upload documents: Class 10 & 12 mark sheets, JEE score, identity proof, photos, etc.
  5. Submit before last date (13 November 2025).
  6. Wait for shortlisting / call letters for SSB.
  7. Appear for SSB + medicals as scheduled.
  8. If selected, join the training in July 2026.
