RRC ECR Railway Apprentice Apply Online Form 2025 Selection Process

Mode of Selection: The selection process for eligible candidates to undergo training under the Apprentice Act of 1961 will be based on a merit list. This list will be prepared by taking the average percentage of marks obtained by the candidates in both Matriculation (with a minimum of 50% aggregate marks) and the ITI examination. Equal weightage will be given to both exams. Candidates can choose multiple units/places for their training. If a candidate’s merit position does not allow them to be allotted their first choice, they will be allocated their subsequent choices.

Once the candidates have submitted their application forms, those provisionally selected for Document Verification will be called to Gorakhpur for the process. During the verification, they must bring a copy of their online application, a Medical Certificate in the prescribed format, four passport-sized photographs, as well as all their original certificates and testimonials for verification purposes. The training of successful candidates will commence at the allocated Division/Unit.

Training & Stipend: The candidates’ training will follow the standards and syllabus prescribed by the Central Apprenticeship Council, subject to registration with RDAT/Kanpur. The selected candidates will receive a stipend during their apprenticeship, based on the prescribed rates according to the existing rules and instructions.
